SAP earned its 12th Leader rating for commerce software.
Gartner had named it a Leader in the 2026 Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce Platforms, SAP said.
SAP describes this as its twelfth appearance in the Leaders quadrant since 2014.
The company’s explanation emphasises connecting commerce to enterprise operations, including pricing and inventory. That is the relevant software context for readers responsible for a business-to-business sales process.
This is SAP’s account of an analyst assessment. The rating does not establish a particular customer’s implementation cost or savings, and Gartner’s disclaimer says its research should not be treated as an endorsement of a vendor.
Our reading: the assessment can help frame a supplier comparison, while the evaluation still needs a representative transaction with the customer-specific pricing and order rules included. A demonstration of that transaction supplies evidence about fit that a position in a vendor assessment cannot supply.
