He told SAP TechEd in Berlin that 10 custom AI cases Bosch built with SAP are live and "delivering already several millions of savings." Another 12 are in development, diginomica reported on 27 October.

Bosch is also among more than 150 customers in the early-adopter programme for Joule Work, SAP's new AI assistant. Its teams use the first assistants in billing and HR.

Miller said scaling it across Bosch requires "reliable answers and faster response time," access rules that work across Bosch's "extremely complex" mix of systems, and "keeping the cost under control." Bosch wants Joule live in its public cloud this year and in its private cloud next year.

He gave no currency or exact figure for the savings, and no cost for Joule. The savings he cited come from tools built under a joint programme with SAP running since early 2025. The new assistant SAP showed at TechEd is the part Bosch is still testing.

  1. 1Ask which AI tools already touch your ERP or finance data, including the ones nobody approved.
  2. 2Ask what each tool is allowed to change, and who reviews what it changed.
  3. 3Ask how the result is measured, and who decides to switch a tool off.
