Anthropic prepared one unreleased feature linking its AI to personal bank accounts.
An unreleased section called Claude Money appeared in the Claude app for iOS. TestingCatalog first spotted the text, BleepingComputer reported.
The app reads: "Link your bank accounts and ask Claude about spending, plans, and more." Another line says: "Understand your money with Claude."
Anthropic has not announced the feature, and BleepingComputer reported no comment from the company. Which banks it supports remains unknown. So does how accounts connect and whether it is limited to the US.
OpenAI already offers a similar feature called Finances in ChatGPT. It connects accounts through Plaid and supports more than 12,000 US financial institutions. OpenAI says it does not train its models on personal financial data.
The apparent feature would give an AI assistant read access to the same sensitive data that finance systems guard behind roles and approvals. Whether personal bank data and work conversations would stay separate inside one assistant is not yet known.
