Workday claims 30% to 40% savings for early users of finance AI, without saying in time or money. Use costs paid credits.

Workday is now offering Decision Intelligence, its AI tool for HR and finance analysis, to its HR and finance software customers, ERP Today reported on 23 October from Workday Rising in Las Vegas.

Users ask questions in plain language and test scenarios, such as whether a planned hire is needed.

Workday said more than 50 customers joined the early programme. Its claim covers tasks such as variance analysis, the work of explaining why actual results differed from plan. The report gives no unit for the saving.

Use is metered. Each analysis draws on Flex Credits, Workday's paid currency for AI, and Workday says it is building limits so customers cannot run through their credits.

ERP Today warned that repeated questions during the month-end close draw down credits. It told customers to check whether hard spending limits are available in their own setup.

Unity Technologies, one early user, says the tool helps its finance team prepare the monthly outlook pack for its CFO.
