EY says brewer Lion's HR costs fell about 30% after a ServiceNow redo. Lion already had the software but used it little.
Lion makes beer and other drinks in Australia, New Zealand and the US, with about 6,000 staff.
Its HR help ran through more than 56 old channels, ERP Today reported on 27 October.
EY, the implementation partner, called the work a "re-design and re-implementation." EY's Barak Ravid said some employees never tried the search because they "assumed it didn't work well."
EY says more than 95% of cases across 49 HR services now run through one ServiceNow portal. Self-service use rose 200%, and operating costs across Lion's People function, its HR unit, improved by roughly 30%. SAP SuccessFactors stayed the master record for employee data.
All of these figures come from the firm paid to do the work. The report gives no project cost and quotes no one from Lion, so the saving cannot be set against the bill.
EY also says that in early pilots of ServiceNow's AI assistant, 25% of the employee requests in the pilots were completed without a human.
