Also in 30 seconds: SAP's sovereign cloud for the Dutch military, Broadcom denied the names behind an EU case on its VMware deal, and six German states buying a Nextcloud school platform without Microsoft or Google.

The 29 are about 21% of the trusts NHS England counts as "realising benefits" from the Federated Data Platform, NHS England's shared data system, supplied by a group led by US software firm Palantir. An NHS spokesperson said trusts "select individual tools depending on their needs". Ministers decide on the contract in December.

3. The EU General Court let CISPE, a trade group of 48 European cloud providers, keep secret which members back its challenge to the approval of Broadcom's VMware takeover, The Register reported. CISPE cited a "significant risk of retaliation". The case remains open.

4. Six German states including Berlin and Hamburg agreed a framework contract for a school platform on Nextcloud software, run on IONOS servers, news agency dpa reported via CIO.de. Buying via a public IT cooperative spares each state a tender.
