Infosys cut its revenue growth forecast to 1%-2% despite $5.2 billion in large deal wins. Its results release gave no reason.
Also in 30 seconds: TCS, Infosys and Cognizant entering 1,043 workers in the US H-1B visa lottery against 18,593 a year earlier, and SAP's four AI assistants for sales, service and marketing, open so far only to select customers.
1. Infosys lowered its forecast for the year to March 2027 from 1.5%-3.0% on 23 October, in its second-quarter results. Both ranges strip out exchange-rate moves. Chief executive Salil Parekh said the $5.2 billion included "a mega deal of over $2 billion". The $5.2 billion is contract value spread over several years, not this year's revenue. Quarterly revenue was $5,145 million, up 1.5% at constant exchange rates; Infosys said AI work made up 10.5% of it.
2. Tata Consultancy Services entered 284 workers in the H-1B lottery for fiscal 2027, down from 5,955, The American Bazaar reported, citing a Congressional Research Service report. Infosys entered 759, down from 8,886. Cognizant entered none, after 3,752. Since September 2025, certain new petitions for workers from abroad carry a $100,000 payment. The article quotes no response from the three companies.
3. SAP announced on 21 October four AI assistants in its customer experience software: one qualifies sales leads, one handles service cases, two plan and run marketing campaigns. In SAP's words they "are now available to select customers". The post names no customer, no price and no date for general availability.
If Infosys runs work for you, did your contract grow or shrink this year?
