Agility Robotics took the cage off its humanoid. It lifts 50 pounds beside people.
Agility Robotics unveiled Digit 5 on 15 September and called it its first humanoid engineered to work close to people without the physical barriers traditional automation needs. The company says it carries up to 50 lb, 40% more than Digit 4.
Agility says a 90-minute battery charges in 9 minutes. That gives Digit 5 a 10:1 run-to-charge ratio against 2:1 on Digit 4, which the company says allows more than 20 hours of productive work in a 24-hour day.
Its safety architecture uses AI-based human detection plus audible and visual cues. An independent safety controller oversees motion, running on NVIDIA IGX Thor. Agility expects Digit 5 to carry a CE mark, with early access in the first half of 2027.
Agility says it holds more than $300 million in multi-year orders as of May 2026, subject to contractual milestones, and that Digit 4 has logged over 65,000 hours at customer sites including GXO and Amazon. Agility's illustrative pricing is $8,500 a month plus a $25,000 deployment fee.
