SAP says all BMW finance reporting uses one template. Approximately 800 processes were standardised.
SAP described the work at BMW Group on 19 October: one integrated finance template for reporting across manufacturing, sales and financial services.
SAP says finance data from 15 major source systems, the separate systems where BMW's figures start, is now comparable across the group.
The missing detail is what it took to get there. SAP gives no cost, duration or start date, so there is little here to benchmark your own programme against.
The account appeared in SAP's post about being named a Leader in Gartner's 2026 Magic Quadrant, the research firm's ranking of cloud finance software vendors. Workday announced the same recognition that day. There is no comment from BMW in SAP's post.
