SAP agreed to buy HR startup TechWolf. Rivals Workday and ServiceNow had backed it.
It will acquire TechWolf, a Ghent company whose software maps employees' skills from HR and business system data, SAP announced.
Terms were not disclosed; closing is expected in Q4 2026, subject to closing conditions.
Tech.eu reports more than 120 staff and over $50 million raised, with SAP, Workday and ServiceNow among its investors. The release calls the deal the largest acquisition of a venture-backed software company in Belgian history.
SAP expects TechWolf to remain independent under chief executive Andreas De Neve and to keep serving SAP and non-SAP customers. The announcement attaches no time frame to that. SAP names HSBC, GSK, Ericsson and PayPal as TechWolf customers.
Manoj Swaminathan, SAP's chief product officer for the Autonomous Suite, described TechWolf's context graph as a grounding layer for agent queries about work and skills planning.
For existing customers, the detail to check is continued access outside SAP. Workday helped fund TechWolf, and its HR rival is now buying it.
