Fortune reported the figure on Tuesday, placing the drugmaker 48th on its new AIQ 75 ranking of corporate AI use.

Pfizer uses AI to run virtual simulations that screen chemical compounds for new drugs. Fortune says this can cut scientific computation by as much as 90% compared with traditional lab work.

Chief information officer Dennis Hancock said AI fluency has lowered resistance. "We find that as our employees get smarter about how to use AI, they are less resistant to applying it to key workflows," he told Fortune.

The same ranking puts Cisco 61st. It rolled out its own AI agent platform, MyAgent, to 90,000 employees in August.

How many of your colleagues have finished any AI training at all?
