Oracle pledged $10 million to Nashville's orchestra. Its budget gap was $10 million.
Oracle said on Sunday it will invest $10 million and form a partnership with the Nashville Symphony.
On 29 September the orchestra had announced it would suspend the rest of its 2026-27 season from 18 October, facing a $10 million gap in this year's operating budget, FOX 17 reported. Its 77 musicians and 27 staff were due to be furloughed.
The symphony now says the season will resume and "the announced furloughs of our musicians and full-time staff will not occur."
"Nashville is a city that understands how music can bring people together," Oracle chief executive Clay Magouyrk said in the announcement. Oracle is building its new headquarters on Nashville's East Bank.
The $10 million equals the gap the orchestra gave for this year alone. The announcements do not say what covers next year's budget, and the symphony itself says continued giving from the community and corporate partners "remains essential".
