Use above that must be charged to a project or team budget, according to an internal memo reported by 24/7 Wall St. and first by 404 Media.

One consultant building AI for several clients said use of Claude Code, Anthropic's coding tool, ran between $500 and $1,000 a month. The memo also says a project billing code and a licence do not guarantee ongoing access.

Accenture told Forbes that reports of a firm monthly limit on AI tools are incorrect. It said the $29 figure showed one part of its funding approach. A spokesperson described the aim as "the right tool for the right work."

A consultant spending $1,000 uses about 34 times the $29 allowance, leaving a project or team budget to cover the other $971. Accenture has about 814,000 employees and did not say how many use Claude this way.
