Also in 30 seconds: Zoom's purchase of Onyx, a search tool companies can keep running on their own servers, and SAP's 12th Leader placement in Gartner's report on commerce software.

1. Workday said on 21 October that it set the terms for $2.5 billion of senior notes, a type of bond, in four tranches, due between 2029 and 2036, at interest rates from 5.7% to 6.5%. It plans to use the money to retire $1 billion of 3.5% notes due April 2027 and the rest for general corporate purposes. The sale was expected to close on 23 October.

2. Zoom said on 23 October that it had acquired Onyx, a search tool that reads across more than 50 workplace apps, and is adding it to Zoom AI Services. Zoom says Onyx will stay a standalone, open-source product that organisations can host themselves, and that it will keep working with different AI models. The announcement gives no price and no timeline for changes to the standalone product.

3. SAP said on 23 October that Gartner named it a Leader in the 2026 Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce Platforms, a report that compares online commerce software, its 12th time in that group since 2014. SAP's own account stresses linking online sales to pricing and inventory. Gartner says its research is not an endorsement of any vendor.
