Unitree had 19 of its full-size humanoid robots perform with 120 human dancers at the opening ceremony of WorldSkills Shanghai on 22 September, the company says. The robots danced in formation, partnered dancers in pink gowns and walked the aisles past the audience. More than 10,000 people watched in the hall, and the show was streamed live, Unitree says.

Unitree says the robots ran as a fully AI-driven autonomous cluster, and calls it the world's largest live performance by full-size general-purpose humanoid robots. Neither claim has been checked independently, and Unitree has not said how much of the routine was programmed in advance. CGTN reported on 23 September that the robots, in light-up suits and masks, danced alongside the human performers.

Unitree's own film of the show drew about 711,000 views on YouTube in five days.

The film shows coordination in a staged routine. It does not show how the robots handle shifting stock, mixed traffic, blocked routes or a task the warehouse system reassigns mid-shift.

Which task in your operation would you trust to a robot first?
