OpenAI connected ChatGPT Voice to email, calendar and Slack. You just talk.

OpenAI began rolling out the update worldwide on 23 September, according to 9to5Mac. Voice can use plugins for email, calendar and Slack, running on any of OpenAI’s three GPT-6 models: Astra, Sol or Luna.
The update also works inside ChatGPT Work on web and mobile. OpenAI says a spoken request can produce a document, presentation, website or spreadsheet.
OpenAI’s advert, played by actors, shows older women cooking and gardening before using Voice to build a shop website and plan a road trip. About 96,000 people watched it on YouTube in the first two days.
A spoken request can now call the email, calendar and Slack plugins a user has connected. Reports so far do not say which actions are read-only and which can send or change something. Android Headlines reported that Enterprise and Edu administrators get controls to review and verify sensitive actions before the assistant sends them.
For IT, the line to draw is between an assistant that reads an inbox and one that sends from it.
