Deutsche Börse Group runs the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In a Google Cloud film published on 15 October, two of its IT leaders describe what they call a "double data center takeout": 30,000 processor cores and its most critical applications moved onto Google's servers.

The 33% is total cost of ownership as the company reports it, against the old in-house setup. Neither the film nor Google's case study gives a euro figure.

The group's SAP S/4HANA system went too. It carries finance and HR, along with customer records. Google's case study says disaster recovery for it now takes 85% less time. In the film, the group adds that releases now ship weekly instead of three or four times a year, and development environments are ready in under five days instead of two to three months.

The sources count apps differently: 12 critical apps on the film's graphic, "60+ apps" in the case study.

The group has also built DAISY, an internal AI platform on Gemini with more than 100 AI agents.

If your company left its own data centre, did the savings you planned show up in year one?
