Airbus has assembled over 800 jets in China. Its second line delivered its first.

Airbus handed the first A320neo assembled on its second final assembly line in Tianjin to China Eastern Airlines on 16 September, the company said.
The line was inaugurated in October 2025. It stands beside the Tianjin line opened in 2008, Airbus's first commercial aircraft assembly line outside Europe. The site has assembled and delivered more than 800 A320 Family aircraft since then.
Airbus calls the second line "a critical facilitator" for its ramp-up towards a global production rate of 75 A320 Family aircraft a month, and says it adds the flexibility and capacity to meet strong market demand. China is the company's largest single-country market.
The footage is Airbus's own marketing film: green-primer fuselages under the gantries, workers on the wing, the finished jet towed out in China Eastern colours.
A first delivery is not full-rate production. Neither the release nor the film gives the second line's own monthly rate, and a final assembly line runs only as fast as the engines, wings and cabin parts reaching it.
