Walmart sold out a $4,299 Nvidia card. 10,000 shoppers had it in their carts.
Walmart offered an MSI-made Nvidia RTX 5090 graphics card for $4,299.99 during its GeForce Week promotion, VideoCardz reported.
The chip draws the picture in a gaming PC. It went out of stock with 10,000 shoppers' carts showing the card, the site said.
Nvidia's official launch price for the RTX 5090 is $1,999. This card sold for $2,300.99 more, a premium of about 115%. VideoCardz said that was still well below what most RTX 5090 cards cost on the market today.
The card carries 32GB of fast memory and draws up to 575 watts, MSI says. The same promotion's $2,299 gaming PCs with the smaller RTX 5080 card also sold out quickly.
Nvidia also sells the data-centre chips that many companies use to train and run AI models.
