SAP's cloud now runs payroll for Dachser's 19,000 German staff. It took eight months.
German logistics group DACHSER moved payroll and time recording for its 19,000 employees in Germany to SAP's cloud ERP in June 2026, after eight months of work with SAP, according to a customer story SAP published on 14 October.
The first payroll run for all German staff, in July, went through without problems and every payment arrived on time, SAP says. It does not describe the checks on payroll accuracy, tax deductions or reconciliation with the finance books. A four-week watch period followed before normal support took over in August.
Dachser has about 37,500 employees in 43 countries and reported €8.3 billion of revenue for 2025. Its finance system, on SAP since 2009, moved to Microsoft's Azure cloud in October 2024.
The story gives no cost and names no implementation partner. It does not cover payroll for the roughly 18,500 employees outside Germany.
