KPMG offered staff facing cuts an extra £100 for confidentiality. Partners averaged £880,000.

KPMG has closed its consultation on UK cuts in AI, cyber, SAP and testing teams, The Register reported on Tuesday.

Staff will hear by email on 9 October whether they have been selected.

The Register says the £100 is for confidentiality and other obligations after staff leave. One employee described the offer as "marginally above statutory terms alongside a nominal £100 consideration for employees to waive their legal rights to appeal or bring claims."

Annual bonuses are usually paid in January. Anyone under notice is ineligible. Staff learn whether they are selected about three months before that bonus round.

The Register reported on 18 September that KPMG UK partners averaged £880,000 for the year to September 2025.

KPMG said it was "proposing reductions in some of our advisory client-facing teams and will support our colleagues throughout this process". It declined to answer questions about the £100 or bonuses. The report does not say how many staff have been asked to sign.

If your SAP testing work is booked into January, do you know who will be on it?
