Infor found 54% comfortable with autonomous agents. 15% said no one clearly owns AI.
Infor commissioned YouGov to survey 2,111 business decision-makers in seven markets in August.
More than half, 54%, said they are comfortable with autonomous AI agents running critical business processes without human input at every step.
Asked who is primarily responsible for AI, the answers split. 23% named the CEO or executive leadership. Another 22% named the CIO or CTO. 15% said no one person has primary responsibility, or that it is unclear who does. Infor said Chief AI Officer roles sit at just 10% across the markets it surveyed.
Businesses also estimate that 44% of AI-generated insights and workflows still need expert human review or adjustment, Infor said.
Infor sells AI agents of its own. It released the index on 6 October with its Industry AI launch. Infor says governance has to be built into the software. ERP Today reported the results on 20 October.

- 2Ask what each tool is allowed to change, and who reviews what it changed.
- 3Ask how the result is measured, and who decides to switch a tool off.
